The most popular dog breeds for 2015 have been announced and the Golden Retriever is at the top of the list – at least according to DogVacay, a dog-sitting and boarding company. They combined their own findings along with Google’s results. Of course, there is no singular ranking that will end all debate. The AKC earlier this year placed the Labrador Retriever at the top of its list for 2014. That was followed by the German Shepherd with the Golden Retrievers in third.
In the Newcomb household, the Chihuahua reigns supreme and the results are not even close! (This list has them fourth and the AKC has them ranked much lower.)

United Airlines brings in comfort dogs to make holiday travel less terrible
Just saw this news and thought how wonderful. And it makes sense! If you are lucky enough to fly out of one of seven airports this week – Chicago, Cleveland, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, Newark and Washington/Dulles – you will have one more reason for holiday cheer. The airlines kicked off three days of dog-hugging festivities starting Monday. Crews from the United Paws program will greet customers with comfort dogs available for cuddling and petting.
