Earlier this year, Rocky was featured in two pieces from a local newspaper called “The Morning Call” about the Westminster 2011 competition.
In the article entitled “All Creatures Great and Small“, the caption reads “Rocky, a smooth-coat Chihuahua, will compete in this year’s Westminister dog show. The dog is co-owned by Kim Prelovsky of Bushkill Township and Connie Newcomb of South Whitehall Township. Rocky won an Award of Merit last year.”
The second piece entitled “Top Dogs Take Manhattan” featured Rocky and me in Times Square. The caption reads “Co-owner/handler Connie Newcomb of South Whitehall Township walks along Seventh Avenue in midtown Manhattan with Rocky, a Chihuahua (smooth coat), on Sunday. Newcomb handled Rocky – officially known as El Grande Rock of Love Bobchi – in the breed competition Monday at the Westminster Dog Show. The show is the second-longest continuously held sporting event, behind only the Kentucky Derby.
