For the 26th consecutive year, the Labrador Retriever has been named the country's most popular dog breed by the American Kennel Club (AKC®), the nation’s largest purebred dog registry. Most Popular AKC Dog Breeds for 2015

Which dog breed is the most popular? According to the AKC, the Labrador Retriever is number one again - for the 25th consecutive year. The German Shepherd was #2 and the Golden Retriever ranked third. The rest of the top 10 included the Bulldog, Beagle, French Bulldog, Yorkshire Terrier, Poodle, Rottweiler, and Boxer. AKC Pilot Program of Two Shows Per Day Supported by Owner-Handlers; Opposed by Professionals

The AKC pilot program for 2 show days is underway. Apparently this was met with gratitude from owner-handlers and stiff opposition from professional handlers. Why? Because it gives the owner-handlers an advantage over the professionals. Isn’t that refreshing! I was not aware that this proposal existed. It makes sense to have two shows in one day.
